"Before 99 I was born again
5 years later and I'm on again
Man I think I'm born to win
Mase broke, that's a oxy moron
Forget a bus, I bought a drop to tour on
G-4's What I soar on, uh
You thinkin I ain't hot you so wrong
Sorry for the prolong
But now life goes on
Long list of hits and it goes on
I wake up, and I don't even feel like a star
And man I'm getting a million a bar
Indeed I need not take no lie
Man, ya'll gone make me cry
It's kinda eerie when you hear me
Ya hairs stand up
Been a change of plan
Rip your old plan up
Instead of hatin
Help me lift the big man up
(As we proceed...come on....yeah)
Awake these people up and show them they keep dreamin'
Breathe Stretch Shake,
Let it Go
Breathe Stretch Shake,
Let it Go
Wake these people up and show them they keep dreamin'
(Betha I love this one...endeavor, for real, Bad Boy)
Breathe Stretch Shake,
Let it Go
Breathe Stretch Shake,
Let it Go..."
It feels like spring here, finally! The temperature yesterday was in the mid 60’s and today – high 50’s with sun. Krazy – since just last week, we had a snow storm and Thurs – it was minus 4 degrees, gotta luv the north! So with spring like temperatures, it seems I’m starting to come out of hibernation, starting to. Friday – I didn’t do anything but nap and watch TV and as usual, it was awesome! Ha Sat, I decided that since L-Y was still away and Small Town Girl wanted to go out, we’d meet up for some low key drinks.
I should know by now, that if we meet up on a weekend – low key will not be low key, especially when there are 2-for-1’s involved and w/Small Town Girl. Because neither of us could really decide where to go, we ended up meeting semi in the middle of us, so we could both walk. My walk, though it was only 20 minutes, seemed to be a little bit farther – but decided that with a nice and friendly bartender and drink deals, the walk was worth it. A nice a friendly bartender indeed – as he bought us several shots (neither Small Town Girl nor I had either of them, ha) but nice anyways and good service, amongst the busy bar.
As the night carried on, I found myself talking to randoms in the bar, mostly frequent patrons – as they all seemed to live in the area, while Small Town Girl sat or would make weird faces at other people. For the most part, I had a great time talking and hanging out w/ her but at the end of the day, she’s a nice girl – entertaining but a lousy wingman. I wasn’t searching for anyone and I wasn’t interested in picking any guys up or vice versa, just some low key drinks. However, the more Small Town Girl started drinking, the more it seemed like it was the goal (her goal) for the evening.
While we would sit at the bar, me telling her a story or explaining something, Small Town Girl’s eyes wondered, looking at the different boys walking by and either made a disgruntled face, sneered (yes actually sneering) or coyly smiling hoping to get the attention of the tall guy walking by. And towards the end of the evening, it was Small Town Girl – turning and staring at random boys saying embarrassing comments (making me want to hide – seriously!), I’m thinking though she was picking them up?
The rest of the evening was odd. I met some interesting people, ended up going to another bar, despite it being bar close and taking the cab back to my place. I did play cupid a bit and if it wasn’t for the cancellation from the guy tonight – Small Town Girl and the random guy would be going on a date right about now! Ha Alas, it wasn’t meant to be though…
I had also, semi plans to meet up w/Church Boy that night. Church Boy is someone who located me via Facebook. I didn’t know him too well as he came and went from church. The last I remember of him, we went to summer church camp together, maybe 3rd or 4th grade and then – he was kicked out (I think maybe for stealing). Regardless, apparently I always – even at my young 4th grade age, liked the bad boys. So, we would talk on the phone (like you did as middle schoolers) back in the day, talking about who knows what and then, never heard from him til Sat.
Church Boy and I ended up texting a little, as he lives about an hour away and since he was going to be in town for the weekend, thought it would be fun to catch up. I still think it would be fun to catch up, want to and hopefully will. However, I am leery. Church Boy that day changed his status from ‘single’ to ‘in a relationship’ – no worries. But Church Boy’s texts, not necessarily naughty were not the kind of texts, a dating man would and should send. Hence, I did some investigating.
He was tagged in a photo, so I went to that photo album, since the lady’s profile was open. The album was listed on the lines of ‘baby’ with all pics of Church Boy and she together. No biggie, except for again – the texts received and short conversation we had Sat were again, not appropriate. And researching further, I noticed that the lady’s profile was listed as engaged. Ha So, I plan to meet, say hi and catch up. And if the behavior changes or my gut tells me there are other motives – I’ll blind him with the knowledge I’ve learned! Ha (jk)
