"Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no
Where did all the blue sky go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north, east, south, and sea
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no
Oil wasted on the oceans and upon our seas
Fish full of mercury
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no..."
Man, it’s hard to keep up with a blog when you’re not a true ‘writer’ and time is limited… ha The past couple of weeks have been mostly fun filled. Although, it wasn’t fun to go to my grandpa’s funeral – it was fun to see the kids! An unexpected and unfortunate way to see the nieces and nephews but no matter, it brought a lot of enjoyment. We headed down south for the visitation on Friday and came back Sat evening, after the funeral – w/the kids. It was sad since my grandpa was my last grandparent but more difficult to see the tears shed from my mom, whom – up until then, I had only seen my mom cry once (not even when her mom passed). One of the most memorable moments was sitting next to my 6 yr old niece at the funeral and when she saw her name in the service bulletin, she announced she was famous, ah – kids, so cute ha. That and on the ride back from the south to my rents – I sat next to Olivia. In the last 10 minutes, my youngest niece (1 yr old) started screaming and the first thing Olivia said, was that that the screaming was definitely something she had to blog about. I love it, my 6 yr old niece can keep up w/her blog better than I, ha.
